Neil Spencer Bruce is a guitarist, sound designer, composer and educator, with a passion and extensive background in sound and music technology.
Neil is available for session work, one-off dep gigs and short term or long term projects and tuition.
Throughout his varied career, Neil has bridged the gap between creativity and technology, and as such, he is in continual demand for his skills and ability to make things happen.
Neil creates 'instrumental guitar music' and 'ambient cinematic electronica' (under the name of Light B4 Sound), and is currently performing with Groovething. From the 1st July 2010 to the 31st December 2011 Neil successfully completed a challenge to create a piece of music every single day.
Neil has worked at Manor Mobile studios with artists, including Robert Plant and Jimmy Page and has filmed and interviewed everyone from Royalty to Nobel Prize winners. His films have been show at Cannes and other leading festivals, and his music/sound design has been used in films, computer games and mobile apps.
After completing his PhD on "The effects of expectation on the perception of soundscapes", Neil has taken his experience of working for some of the largest companies and corporations in the world and created 'Digitally Content', with the sole aim of empowering clients to produce high quality/low cost content and making people digitally happy.
In his spare time, (when he has any!) Neil is studying on the Specialist Blues, Rock and Jazz Guitar Certificate Program at Berklee, loves travelling, meeting new people and photography and the simple pleasure of hanging out in a coffee shop (and probably talking about guitars!!).
