Wow another day and another big release. Today...will it is Vegas Pro 12, I know this is a music/sound focused blog, but my day job is as a film maker and I used to actually use Vegas as an audio editor, because it is actually rather good at it! (so so much better at editing audio than final cut pro....which is dire, I know because I use it everyday!). Vegas has always been seen as the poor relative to Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere (and of course Avid). But I wonder in large part if this is to do with the fact it is PC only and the stigma attached to that. If we are honest (and looking at version 12) the interface does still feel rather 2002, I guess I was hoping for a bigger update on that front to make it feel a bit more 'serious'. Having said that though....I love the fact it works with multi-format material. In fact, given my love/hate relationship with FCP, that might be a reason to move back to it.I am now wondering (especially now with the release of Digital Performer 8 for windows), where moving away (shock horror) from Apple might be the future....certainly feel like you get more bang for your buck!PeaceNeil
