I have been asked a few time about what compression settings I use for encoding videos for display on YouTube and Vimeo. So I thought I would post a screen dump of the settings in MPEG Stream Clip. I have been messing around with these for a while, as I am not completely happy on the output. This is particularly evident with some of the last videos I have done. On the whole MPEG Streamclip is without doubt a life saver, and I can't believe it is free!! I don't know where I would be without it! From encoding Canon DSLR H.264 into Apple ProRes 422 (I use LT) for editing in Final Cut Pro as a batch process to, encoding and reading some of the strange formats I have to deal with on a weekly basis! It is awesome! So here are my settings, obviously the Frame Rate will vary depending on your project, and the same goes for the audio. Hope this helps. To get this dialogue for those whom are unfamiliar with the program, you firstly goFile -> Export to MPEG-4EnjoyPeaceNeil
