We have all heard about side chain compression, but what about using this ducking technique on other elements of your mix. In this video we explore how you can sidechain both your delays and reverbs to add clarity to your mix as well as depth.
Get to grips with this technique in under 2 minutes with this video tutorial.
Based on the questions I get asked the most by students, I have just started a new series on song writing. The fourth part covers an often over looked consideration, and that is about the story, the narrative. Even if you are writing instrumental music, this is STILL a keep consideration. Find out more...
So! It happened!! After a long long wait, I finally got myself a new guitar!! And yes this was one I fell in love with!! It is a Pro-Mod San Dimas® Style 2 HH HT M Okoume, Maple Fingerboard, Natural from Charvel, and it was the natural finish, coupled with the Tele shape (and black hardware) that caught my eye!!
Apple Mac Mini 2018 : Wifi and Bluetooth issues : RANT . Not impressed with interference issues that this machine has with my usb hubs.
Since getting my new Mac mini I have nothing but problems with the Mac connecting to my wifi firstly and then connecting to my wireless bluetooth mouse. Each would not connect, or if it did would quickly drop the connection or be extremely sluggish.
THE SOLUTION
Unplug my USB hubs and then everything worked fine….THIS IS NOT a solution!!

Yes I do love Shimmer, it is such an awesome effect. I guess it is a bit easy to over do it sometimes, but hey it's easy to over do it on sugar :) And the EHX Oceans 11 is a lovely lovely sugary shimmer.
Well actually the Oceans 11 is a very lovely reverb pedal all round. Whilst I will be doing a full review of the pedals, I decided that I would do a reverb by reverb account of the pedal....of course starting with shimmer first :)
Enjoy
