Iron Maiden O2 2nd August 2103 review

One word....AWESOME!!!!

This is probably the best concert I have every been too (Although Kings X at Camden may just take it as that was an almost spiritual experience!). It was nearly 25 YEARS to the day since the first time saw Maiden perform 7th Son of a 7th Son at Donnington Park ( Just found the program from the day!! Little band called G N R at the bottom of the bill!!...oh and David Lee Roth with a certain Mr Vai on guitar!! Was a pretty important day for me!) and having seen them pretty much ever tour since, this was the most energetic and on the ball (not that they ever aren't) I have ever seen them, it was practically perfection (although mysteriously Infinite Dreams wasn't in the set!?!), having said that probably two of my all time favourites (which don't get much of an airing these days) were included, namely The Prisoner and The Clairvoyant. It seemed the band were up for it, and the audience were too, with so much goading from Bruce about not being loud enough....I have subsequently lost my voice!! But it was worth it!!

The mighty Maiden, the only consistently solid thing in my crazy life! Up the Irons!!

PeaceNeil
